I went to the configurator and it seems I could get a P.50 kit in custom livery and no engine (it takes the common Chinese knockoff of the Honda horizontal engine) for about $11,200. (Ouch!) It seems they will arrange worldwide delivery. It has 3 wheels so it could be US legal as a motorcycle.

At that price you’re pretty close to the Solo’s price. Not really the same thing I guess but driving a P.50 surrounded by CUVs and SUVs does not sound fun.

I would love one of these but that price is way steep for a fibreglass tub, some windows and a moped engine.

If I’m reading correctly, you don’t even get the moped engine lol.

No kidding. The funny thing is that the price differential between 50cc and 125cc models is on the order of a couple thousand pounds. When you look at the generic Chinese engines on Ebay, you’ll see that the 50cc (if you can even find them) ones are maybe $350 and the 110 or 125 ones are hardly ever over $600. Anyway it looks fun-ish. I’ve got a built Honda/Takegawa 125cc (pro-built motor) in the crate I paid $1500 for that would be interesting in this.

These guys gotta make money and they’re doing it in the UK.
